Happy Day - I got a library card!

I love libraries!  I love being surrounded by books and magazines.  Being in a library gives me a sense of peace.  Not sure where it comes from - maybe the chance to feed my curiosity and or to loose myself in a good story.  I have always loved to read.  As a kid (think 8 - 10), I discovered chapter books about famous people.  I could not read them fast enough.  I would read them in the bathtub;  I would have one open on my dresser and read as I got ready for school.  (You know, I still remember some of the stories today.)  When Sheila first came into my life, I read the books she read in school - from 6th grade on.  We still share books and suggestions as to what the other MUST read.

I seek out the library in the town we are currently "living in".  I will go and read magazines and browse books.  However having the ability to check out books from a library is one of the enjoyments of life that I miss on The Road.  BUT, since we are "living in Trenton" for 4 months, I qualified for a temporary library card.  Yeah!  So I now have my first stash of books to read.

When I am in an geographic region, I like to find fictional books that take place in the area.  And as you can see, I am concerned about our health care system - more specifically, my health care system - more on that later.

As we were "wandering Mount Desert Island" (MDI) yesterday, I discovered one of the prettiest library settings I have ever seen.  This picturesque library resides in Sommesville, ME on MDI.
